Can an AI assistant draft certificates of insurance?
Yes. When a certificate request comes in by email, an AI assistant can read it, pull the policy details from your agency system, fill the certificate and leave it for approval. A person checks it and sends it. It doesn't add insureds or change wording the policy doesn't support.
How it goes
- A request arrives: holder name, address, any additional insured or waiver wording asked for.
- The assistant finds the client and policy in EZLynx (or your system) and drafts the certificate.
- Anything the policy doesn't clearly support, such as an endorsement it can't find, is flagged instead of filled.
- Someone on your staff approves and sends. The draft and the approval are logged.
What it won't do
It won't issue a certificate on its own, and it won't decide whether coverage applies. Those stay with licensed staff.
