Where does client data go with an AI assistant?
The assistant runs on a mini PC or Mac mini your agency buys and owns, in your office. It logs into EZLynx, carrier sites and email with its own accounts. Drafts and approvals are logged. The text it works on is sent to the AI model provider to be read and written, so that provider is a vendor you record like any other.
The approval step
Nothing goes out without a person's approval: no email sent, no form submitted, no money spent. Every draft and every approval is logged, so you can show your E&O carrier what happened and who approved it.
Missouri's insurance data security law
Missouri's Insurance Data Security Act (RSMo 375.1400–375.1427) took effect on 1 January 2026. For an agency, it asks for an information security program, oversight of vendors who handle client data, and notice to the Department of Commerce and Insurance within 4 business days of a cybersecurity event. Cirlet gives each agency a one-page brief for its E&O carrier: where data lives, the approval log, the vendor record and the reporting duty. It's a summary, not legal advice. More on the Missouri page.
If you leave
After the commitment, you can cancel any time. The computer, the accounts and the setup stay yours.
